self care beauty tips

Hello Lovelies,

With all the craziness going on, we are checking in to see how YOU are doing? All of our feelings can change hourly during this uncertain time. How are you feeling right now? What better time to reach out to others and check in on everyone around you so you can pray and support them.

Just remember that “social distancing” does not mean that we should not be connecting with others. There are many online platforms available to connect with others and still visually see them such as Zoom and Facetime. We are ALL in this together!

Keep us good Lord,
Under the shadow of your mercy,
In this time of uncertainty and distress.
Sustain and support the anxious and fearful,
And lift up all who are brought low;
That me may rejoice in your comfort
Knowing that nothing can separate us from you.
In Christ Jesus our Lord.

We cannot emphasize enough how important it is to stay inside and limit your physical contact with others. By following the CDC guidelines for hand washing and disinfecting areas around your home, the spread of COVID-19 can be slowed down and eventually stopped entirely.

If we were to resume our old ways and do nothing, millions of Americans would likely die from the virus. Looking back when this is all over, we will see that the sacrifices we are making right now are very reasonable and truly will make a difference for not only you but also those within your community. We all have to do our part!

With ‘nonessential’ businesses (including La Bella Vita Medispa) temporarily closed to protect the spread of Coronavirus… many of us are struggling with our ‘cosmetic’ upkeep during lockdown without the help of our ‘essential’ professionals. We are STILL here for you during this time, just in a different way…curbside product pickup along with ‘self-care” beauty advice!

Beauty Self Care Tips

Lashes

Many of our clients love lash extensions but are unable to get their lashes filled during this time. We suggest checking with your Lash Technician first, but here is a helpful video on how to remove your lash extensions.

Another option: Latisse®
Consider Latisse®, a prescription that makes lashes longer, thicker and darker…the cost is $179 for a 10 week supply. Call us for more details, (916) 624-4959

Enjoy Outdoors with SPF

SPF is your BFF for life! Lather up and enjoy the sunshine while following ‘social distancing’ regulations. As always, we’ve got you ‘covered’. Ask us about Sunforgettable™ Total Protection Brush-On Shield SPF 50, perfect for everyone in your family. Powered by EnvironScreen™ Technology, this all-powerful, all-powerful, all-mineral skin shield provides complete protection in one convenient on-the-go application – alone or over makeup…it can go everywhere with you! Truly, a must-have!

Also, ask us about our La Bella Vita Medispa Sunscreen (SPF 50). It is water resistant, weightless and safe to reapply over makeup without that oily feeling. Plus, it’s a physical sunscreen, which means it does not absorb into the skin and allow the sun’s rays to creep in.

Are you overdue for your nail appointment?

Do you have gel or ‘dip’ nails? With all the nail salons closed for a while, we’ve researched how to remove the gel and dip products. I know, we are sad too.

  • GENTLY file the topcoat of each nail to rough it up. If you can see your own nail during the process, you’re doing it too hard.
  • Using an acetone-based nail polish remover, wet a cotton ball and place on top of each nail.
  • Wrap tinfoil around each of your cotton-swaddled nails to keep the swab in place.
  • After 5-15 minutes, check your nails…when the nail product is ready to be removed, it should be gummy. Whatever you do, don’t pry or bite your nails off!
  • After removed, use a mild soft buffer to smooth nails and apply some organic oil …. avocado, coconut, olive, your choice!

Here’s an online tutorial we found on how to remove artificial nails.

We will get through this together. Please call the Spa to purchase any skincare products and we will personally deliver to you curbside! Please stay safe and well! Sending virtual hugs to you all!
