Dr. Hempstead is a true local, born and raised in Sacramento. She went to Loretto High School and attended American River College before graduating from UC Davis with a degree in Chemistry, Summa Cum Laude. She also attended UC Davis for both medical school and her residency.

You will find she is an excellent communicator, with a love and compassion for people of all walks of life. She has three children of her own, loves cats and enjoys anything to do with the outdoors, especially hiking and paddle boarding.
