It’s that time of the year to look forward to holiday parties, family gatherings and lots of socialization. Get your glow on and look radiant for all of your holiday festivities with these skin care tips:
Water is a winter MIRACLE! Not only will it keep your skin gorgeous and glowing, but it will help your body flush out any extra toxins you consume at holiday parties. Your body (and skin) will thank you!
Wash Your Face
This should already be part of your daily routine, but it’s even MORE important during the winter holiday season. With all of the holiday parties and late nights, no skipping out on washing your makeup off. No exceptions!
Get Enough Sleep
Most of us tend to stay up later than we normally do this time of the year. However, it’s still important to get a full night’s sleep. Plan ahead when possible so you aren’t having to pull off too many late nights finishing shopping, wrapping, cooking, etc. Our body views lack of sleep as a stressor and can increase stress hormones…which can affect our skin!
Whether you’re stressing out about end-of-the-year deadlines or that family dinner you are hosting, being stressed can take a toll on your face. Remember to prioritize the tasks that are TRULY important. Take a moment to yourself each day to regroup and relax. Even taking a few slow deep breaths can lower stress hormones.
Eat Healthy Foods
Limit inflammatory foods such as sugar, dairy and refined carbs which can contribute to acne. Load up on vegetables and other whole foods as much as possible! Read our previous blog post on more healthy holiday eating tips!

Lastly, HAVE FUN AND ENJOY! Even though all of these tips are great for keeping your skin healthy and glowing, don’t stress if you stay up late or have an extra dessert here and there…just don’t make it a habit. After all, it IS the most joyous time of the year to spend with your loved ones!
